About Platinum Sports San Antonio
Founded in July 2009, Platinum Sports San Antonio, Inc., fosters athletic competition for the adult community of San Antonio and nearby areas. We promote the health, fitness, and welfare of our citizens. We have been granted 501(c)(4) non-profit status with the IRS. Proceeds go back to our military community. Our primary focus is to promote the sport of volleyball through various tournaments,clinics, open play, and coaching/training. Our long-term goals are: to grow into a community leader supporting the volleyball sports competition arena, to reach out to include other sports, to continue to foster athletic competition, health, fitness and welfare in our community.
What We Are Doing…
Our primary goal is to foster athletic competition to the community. One of the primary ways of doing this is by hosting volleyball tournaments and leagues which are open to the public. Platinum Sports San Antonio will also give back to the military community via monetary donations and by offering scholarships for playing in our tournaments and leagues.
Renting a Court…
Platinum Sports SA does NOT rent out courts. If you are interested in renting a court you can contact Mission Concepcion Sports Park (MCSP) at 210-477-8909 (Leroy Vielma). MCSP is the gym where we host our leagues and tournaments and we do not own the gym, we rent the courts from MCSP.
Directors
Brenda Crable is the Clinic & Leagues Director for Platinum Sports San Antonio. She has been coaching the sport of volleyball for over 15 years and playing volleyball in the community for over 25 years. She is Director of the San Antonio Lightning Youth Volleyball Club. 210-860-8087.
Anita Huddleston is the Tournament & Leagues Director for Platinum Sports San Antonio. She has been actively involved in organizing and playing volleyball in the San Antonio community for over 20 years. She has been hosting and coordinating adult volleyball tournaments for over 10 years. 210-722-0770.
